Wax viscosity changes with temperature. During manual production, wax may remain in open pots, travel through different containers or wait at the workstation for different lengths of time. As temperature and flow behavior change, operators must constantly adjust pouring speed by experience. This makes the process difficult to standardize across workers and shifts.
Temperature variation can also affect the candle surface and filling behavior. A stable process therefore requires more than a worker who pours quickly; it requires controlled melting, continuous mixing, heat retention and steady delivery to the filling point.
Fast manual pouring, inconsistent nozzle position and interruptions between containers can introduce air or disturb the wax surface. Reworking an underfilled or visually defective candle consumes labor, production time and energy. If the container cannot be recovered economically, the loss may include wax, wick, cup or jar, fragrance, label and packaging—not just the value of the wax.
A small overfill repeated across thousands of candles becomes a significant annual material cost. Underfilling, meanwhile, creates a quality and compliance risk. Manual weighing and correction can reduce variation, but every check adds handling time. The key business question is not only how fast workers pour, but how consistently the process controls the target weight.
When output increases, a manual line often requires more people for pouring, container handling, weight checking, correction and cleaning. Recruitment becomes harder during peak seasons, while training new operators takes time. Supervisors must also manage attendance, skill differences, shift handovers and quality variation.

Yide Machinery’s YD-I-12 is a pneumatic wax filling system available with 12 or 16 nozzles for containers of different diameters. The system combines multi-nozzle filling, a heated holding tank and a controlled material path to improve throughput and repeatability.
The YD-I-12 is rated at 8,000–10,000 pieces per hour under suitable production conditions. Twelve or sixteen filling positions process multiple containers in each cycle, reducing the amount of repetitive manual pouring. Actual output still depends on container size, fill weight, wax condition, line balance, operating method and equipment utilization.

The important engineering principle is line balance: melting capacity, wick anchoring and filling must support the required daily output without forcing one station to wait for another.
A 12 nozzles wax filler does not eliminate every operator. Staff may still be required for material preparation, container feeding, inspection, downstream packing, cleaning and changeovers. The labor reduction achieved by a fully auto wax filling machine therefore depends on how much of the complete production flow is automated.
